🐾 LET’S HELP MAKE HER ROOM A LITTLE MORE COZY! 🐾

We are so excited to welcome our new School Resource Officer, Officer Foster to Dobson Elementary! 🧡 She is here to help protect, support, and build relationships with our Dobson Cubs—and we want to help make her space a warm, welcoming, and comfortable place for them, too.

There may be times when she needs to spend some one-on-one time with a Cub, and we would love for her room to feel like a safe, cozy place where our students feel comfortable talking, sharing, and being themselves. 🐯❤️

We’re looking for gently used or new items similar to those pictured to help furnish her room. If you have something you think would be a great fit—furniture, lamps, shelving, cozy kid seating, décor, or other office comforts—please let us know!

📣 Let’s come together and show our new SRO how much Dobson supports those who protect and care for our Cubs!

🎉 We are beyond excited to finally share some amazing news! 🎉

Back in February, Dobson Elementary PTO nominated Dobson Elementary School for the Subaru Loves Learning initiative through Scenic Subaru of Mount Airy, and we are thrilled to announce that DES was selected as this year's recipient! 💙📚

Keeping this a secret has definitely been the hardest part, but it's been so worth the wait!

As part of this incredible partnership, our teachers will receive a special goody box along with the opportunity to purchase much-needed classroom supplies and educational materials to help support their students. Even better, the amazing team at Scenic Subaru will be showering our staff with fun surprises throughout the school year!

Their first surprise? They stocked our teachers' lounge with delicious snacks to help kick off an incredible school year! 🍿🍪🥤

We are so grateful to Scenic Subaru for investing in our teachers and students. Partnerships like these make a lasting difference in our school, and we can't wait to share all of the exciting surprises still to come!

Don't F o R g E t!

We all know that teachers spend so much of their own money on helping keep their classrooms clean and organized. When you go back-to-school shopping for your child pick up a few of these essential items. It's easy!

1. Pick up items from the list and have in a separate bag.
2. Drop off at the PTO table on August 10th, 5pm - 7pm.

**T-shirts, Blankets, and Cookbooks will be available for purchase at the table.**

Online orders will not be available before the Parade of Success, so make sure you get a T-shirt at Open House!!

What a week celebrating our AMAZING Tiger Staff! 🖤💛🍎
We are beyond thankful for the incredible support from our families, community, churches, and local businesses who helped make Staff Appreciation Week so special!

✨ Monday kicked off with a delicious breakfast from Chick-fil-A provided by NC Carports & Garages.
✨ Tuesday our staff enjoyed a PTO-sponsored Nacho Bar — and it was definitely a fan favorite! 🌮
✨ Wednesday brought Subway sponsored by Salem Baptist Church along with sweet treats from Nothing Bundt Cakes provided by Kathy & Ricky White.
✨ Thursday we “Fueled the Force” thanks to the generous donations from our wonderful parents and guardians.
✨ And today, staff wrapped up the week with a fabulous meal from Little Italy sponsored by Wayne Farms! 🍝

Honorable mentions are First Community Bank for the cookies, candy, and sodas. The family who provided Krispy Kreme Donuts, and The Farm for all the delicious strawberries for our staff!

Our teachers and staff felt so loved this week, and we truly could not do it without this amazing community standing behind Dobson Elementary. Thank you for helping us celebrate the people who pour so much into our students every single day.

We cannot wait for the prize drawing for the staff who participated in Spirit Week!

We have the BEST Tiger family around! 🐯💛🖤

🌟 A Galaxy Full of Fun is Coming to Dobson Elementary! 🌟

We’re excited to celebrate our amazing teachers and staff! 💫

📚 Teacher Spirit Week is all about bringing the fun, dressing up, and showing school spirit as our staff joins the galaxy for themed dress-up days! Prizes will be drawn at the end of the week for staff that participate!

🍎 Staff Appreciation Week is our chance to thank the incredible teachers and staff who go above and beyond for our students every single day. We have special treats and meals planned all week long to show them how much they are appreciated!

📍Remember snacks, drinks, and goodies can be brought in and dropped off at the front office by Tuesday, May 5th for Fuel for the Force day.

We can’t wait to celebrate the amazing force behind Dobson Elementary! 💛🖤
