🍭🐯 A SWEET surprise for our ROAR Celebration! 🐯🍭

PTO had a little surprise up our sleeves for our students last Thursday! We brought in Cotton Candy Dreams to help make our ROAR Celebration extra sweet! 💕💙

Our ROAR Celebrations are all about recognizing our students for their hard work, great behavior, and showing what it means to be a Dobson Tiger! 🐯✨

A HUGE thank you to Cotton Candy Dreams LLC for coming out to our school and helping us celebrate our kiddos. Judging by those smiles, the surprise was a hit! 🍭☁️

We love getting to do fun things like this for our students, they deserve it! ❤️🐯

🎃🐯 DOBSON TIGERS TRUNK OR TREAT! 🐯🎃

We’re getting ready for a ROAR-ing good time, but we need YOUR help to make it happen!

We’re looking for families, local businesses, organizations, and community members to set up decorated trunks in the Dobson Elementary parking lot and hand out candy to our little Tigers! 🍬🐾

Go spooky, silly, cute, creative, or completely over-the-top, we’d love to fill the parking lot with as many trunks as possible!

🚗 Want to host a trunk?
Email [email protected] to sign up. Once registered, you’ll receive information about event rules, setup instructions, and the parking lot layout.

Please share and help us spread the word to local businesses and families who might want to participate. The more trunks, the more fun for our Tigers! 🧡🐯🖤

Stay spooky, Tigers! 👻🎃

🐯 Calling all Dobson Tiger parents & caregivers! 🐾

Our PTO is kicking off the new school year, and we’d love to have YOU join us!

Our first meeting will be Monday, September 22nd at 3:15 PM at Dobson Elementary.

Joining PTO does not mean you have to volunteer for every event or commit tons of time. Whether you can give one hour, help with one event, share an idea, or jump in whenever your schedule allows, it all makes a difference! 🧡

PTO is all about working together to support our students, teachers, and school while creating fun experiences for our Tigers. 🐯

All parents and caregivers are welcome! Come meet us, hear what we have planned, and find out how you can be involved.

📧 Questions? [email protected]

We can’t do it without you! 🐾

🐾 LET’S HELP MAKE HER ROOM A LITTLE MORE COZY! 🐾

We are so excited to welcome our new School Resource Officer, Officer Foster to Dobson Elementary! 🧡 She is here to help protect, support, and build relationships with our Dobson Cubs—and we want to help make her space a warm, welcoming, and comfortable place for them, too.

There may be times when she needs to spend some one-on-one time with a Cub, and we would love for her room to feel like a safe, cozy place where our students feel comfortable talking, sharing, and being themselves. 🐯❤️

We’re looking for gently used or new items similar to those pictured to help furnish her room. If you have something you think would be a great fit—furniture, lamps, shelving, cozy kid seating, décor, or other office comforts—please let us know!

📣 Let’s come together and show our new SRO how much Dobson supports those who protect and care for our Cubs!

If you have an item to donate or would like to help, please send us a message. 🧡🖤

🎉 We are beyond excited to finally share some amazing news! 🎉

Back in February, Dobson Elementary PTO nominated Dobson Elementary School for the Subaru Loves Learning initiative through Scenic Subaru of Mount Airy, and we are thrilled to announce that DES was selected as this year's recipient! 💙📚

Keeping this a secret has definitely been the hardest part, but it's been so worth the wait!

As part of this incredible partnership, our teachers will receive a special goody box along with the opportunity to purchase much-needed classroom supplies and educational materials to help support their students. Even better, the amazing team at Scenic Subaru will be showering our staff with fun surprises throughout the school year!

Their first surprise? They stocked our teachers' lounge with delicious snacks to help kick off an incredible school year! 🍿🍪🥤

We are so grateful to Scenic Subaru for investing in our teachers and students. Partnerships like these make a lasting difference in our school, and we can't wait to share all of the exciting surprises still to come!

💙 Thank you, Scenic Subaru, for showing Dobson Elementary so much love and support! Here's to a fantastic school year! 🍎✨
