Masters graduates and current Cornell students Jeremy Li, Xavier Ralston, Lisa Yao, Anna Shub, and Aaron Weinberg reunited on the Arts Quad last week with Masters’ JackStevens, himself a Cornell alumnus. A great reminder that the connections made at Masters go far beyond our campus.

The wait is over! Our campus is buzzing once again as we welcome upper school students back for the first day of the 2026–2027 school year. New faces, familiar friends, plenty of ice cream, and many exciting moments ahead. Here’s to a great year filled with learning, laughter, friendship, and new adventures.

Our athletes have been doing it with thy might throughout the last two weeks of preseason, putting in the work and building toward the competitions ahead. We can’t wait to see all that hard work pay off next week as the regular season gets underway. 🐾

A big Masters welcome to our first group of boarding students 🎉 Move-in day brought the energy, the enthusiasm and, of course, lots of suitcases back to 49 Clinton. Our second group of boarders arrive this Thursday and we cannot wait! 💜

An auspicious sunrise to start off the new academic year. We’re back — well, some of us, anyway. New and returning faculty, staff, and administrators gathered on the Quad this morning to reconnect after summer break, welcome the year ahead, and kick things off with a fierce game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. ✊📄✂️

Senior Ava Munitz spent two weeks this summer at The New York Times, getting a behind-the-scenes look at journalism from the people who live it every day. She explored different areas of the field, learned from working journalists, and sharpened her own writing and reporting skills along the way.

And just like that… our Summer Spotlights are coming to a close! ☀️ Students and faculty are starting to arrive on campus, and school starts in just over a week. We’re ready for the next chapter and all the stories that come with it.

Masters siblings Sofia Camacho ’26 and Allistair Camacho ‘28 reached new heights this summer, making it to the summit of Mt. Whitney — 14,505 feet, the highest point in the contiguous United States. Together with their dad, they spent more than three weeks hiking 211 miles through California’s Sierra Nevada along the John Muir Trail. And of course, they brought a little piece of Masters with them!
