Mercy University is opening doors in Occupational Therapy with a doctoral program crafted for working professionals.

Mercy is excited to share the launch of an Entry-Level Clinical Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD) Program. In response to the growing demand for occupational therapists across the New York region, this 85-credit program offers a hybrid/weekend format, opening pathways to doctoral education for individuals who might otherwise be unable to pursue advanced degrees. Mercy University will host a free screening of the critically acclaimed independent film “Martyr of Gowanus” on Friday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m. Starring and executive produced by Sawyer Spielberg, son of Steven Spielberg, this bold film examines the complex desire for human connection made even made more complicated by the aftermath of September 11 attacks.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with writer/director Brian Meere. The event launches the Art Exchange at Mercy University (“ArtEx”), a new initiative designed to strengthen cultural connections between the university and local River Towns communities.
