Panthers- Leading and Learning
Teachers are implementing standards-aligned instruction through whole-group, small-group, intervention, and technology-based activities. Instruction emphasizes foundational academic skills, application of learning, and differentiated support.

Teacher-Led Activities

β€’ Days of the Week: Teachers reinforce sequencing, calendar concepts, vocabulary, and recognition of the days of the week through repetition, discussion, and interactive practice.
β€’ Long and Short Vowel Sounds: Teachers provide explicit phonics instruction to help students distinguish between long and short vowel sounds and apply vowel patterns in reading and spelling.
β€’ Multiplication and Division: Teachers model strategies and provide guided and independent practice to develop computational fluency, problem-solving skills, and mathematical reasoning.
β€’ Intervention: Teachers provide targeted, small-group instruction and differentiated activities to address individual skill gaps and reinforce previously taught concepts.
β€’ Rikki-Tikki-Tavi: Students engage with the text through reading, comprehension, vocabulary development, discussion, and analysis of literary elements.
β€’ i-Ready/iXL: Teachers use digital platforms to provide individualized practice and reinforcement. Student performance data inform instructional decisions and additional support.

Students participate in teacher-guided instruction, collaborative discussions, independent practice, small-group intervention, reading activities, and technology-based assignments. They practice foundational literacy and mathematics skills, respond to questions, demonstrate content understanding, and complete individualized lessons on i-Ready and iXL.

Overall, classroom activities reflect a balance of direct instruction, guided practice, intervention, independent learning, and technology-supported instruction. Students receive multiple opportunities to strengthen academic skills, demonstrate mastery, and access support aligned with their individual needs.
