Here’s an opportunity to own a great baby sired by our Jackpot stud and out of an Appendix QH mare. Don’t miss her!

Offering in the 2026 MU Online Horse Auction & Fundraiser

Here is MU Gimme The Deets, aka Sally, one of the barn's favorites! This outstanding red dun molly mule offers size, athleticism, and versatility. Sally combines proven Mammoth jack bloodlines through her sire, 1st Choice Bens Jackpot, with the quality Appendix Quarter Horse bloodlines of her dam, Sugar Coated Detail, a daughter of Coats N Tails.

Sally’s well-balanced conformation, elegant neck, and smooth, floating movement make her an excellent prospect for both the show ring and recreational riding. She is the first mule out of her dam, whose horse offspring have excelled in hunter under saddle, speed events, and trail riding. Offspring by Sally’s sire are proving to be versatile mules for both recreational and performance uses.

Raised at the MU Equine Teaching Facility, Sally has been routinely handled by MU students since birth and continues to build her groundwork skills as we prepare for the 2026 MU Online Horse Auction & Fundraiser.

✨ THE 2026 FOAL CROP IS OFFICIALLY SOLD ✨

Our final mule foal of 2026 has officially found his forever home. 💙

We’re incredibly proud of this year’s babies and grateful to each person who chose a 1st Choice mule. We don’t just raise mules; we thoughtfully plan our crosses with the goal of producing exceptional individuals with the conformation, disposition, athletic ability, and natural way of going that we strive for in our program.

If you missed your opportunity to bring home a 1st Choice mule in 2026, don’t wait until the foals arrive in 2027 to start watching. 👀

Our 2027 mule babies are already on the horizon.

We are beginning to put together our 2027 interested buyer/waiting list for those who would like first opportunity to follow the upcoming foals and be notified as they become available. Note: we do take in-utero deposits so don’t wait too long and regret not getting a chance at that once in a lifetime baby!

Some crosses are worth waiting for.
Some babies are worth planning ahead for.
And a 1st Choice mule is worth the wait. 🤍

And then there was one …

One 2026 foal remains from our c**t crop. This sorrel john mule with flaxen mane is out of our Spotted Saddle Horse (SSH) mare, Miss Kitty, and sired by our dun gaited jack, 1st Choice Ben’s Jackpot. He’s built like a quarter c**t but will pick up a gait and move on out if needed. He’s the right kind and his two full brothers have made great mules.
Don’t miss your chance to own a 1st Choice Mule!
