Embudo Valley Tutoring Association

Embudo Valley Tutoring Association (EVTA,) was created in 2004 to assist students of the very underfunded area of northern Rio Arriba County, New Mexico (including Dixon and Vellarde Elementary Schools) with free dyslexic and subject-based tutoring services provided by our own certified and trained teachers. We work closely with the teachers and administrative staff of the schools we service to pr

ovide the best level of support possible. The Rio Grande Valley in New Mexico is very rural and the state lacks the resources and staff to provide the services to the students in this area. The high school drop out rate is 15%. That is where EVTA is doing all we can to pick up the slack. In 2017 EVTA is adding a seat of operations at Anansi Charter School in El Prado, NM in order to reach greater numbers and diversity of students. We are a 503c non profit organization operating solely from grants from foundations, donations from our community, and the many hours of volunteered time of our staff of teachers. We are a dedicated group that is concerned with aiding this community with these much needed services.
