The first day(s) of school are just around the corner!

8/26 is a B Day - which means it is the first day of school for incoming freshmen and B Day Region 9 students.

8/27 is an A Day - first day for all upperclassmen and A Day Region 9 students. All students, including Region 9 students, should report to the high school for a school-wide assembly on 8/27 - after this, you will be transported (or may drive, if you have permission) to your R9 programming.

Summer mailing packets went out via mail 2 weeks ago. A school calendar was sent to each family, and can also be found on the RSU 56 website for reference. These mailing packets contain a lot of back-to-school paperwork; please remember to bring the completed forms to school with you! There will be a ‘paperwork drop box’ in the office window for you to turn these in. (Upperclassmen with Open Campus; there will be a separate drop box specifically for Open Campus permission forms. If you use it instead of the general paperwork dropbox, the office will make every effort to process these quickly for you, as time allows.)

Region 9 students; please remember to communicate your lunch/breakfast needs with Nutrition, and to pick up your lunches here at the high school before heading to Region 9 for the day.

Students will receive their Yondr pouches to secure their personal electronic devices on the first day they are in the building and will receive their laptops once all required paperwork has been completed and turned in.

We look forward to seeing you all!

We know it's still summer, but the fall season is right around the corner! We will be having our preseason meeting for all DHS Fall Sports on Monday July 27th to ensure the two weeks leading up to preseason can be fully enjoyed with summer fun. (and so we also fall within the MPA's requirement for hands off for 2 full weeks leading up to the fall sports season). This will also help get practice schedules and important information into your hands earlier.

Also, our sign up system is ready to go, and an exciting change is that you can select all sports your child will be participating in this year rather than just this current season. Please complete this as soon as possible to help our coaches know who to expect on day one of practices (Aug. 17th). You can go to schools.snap.app/dirigo to register your child. (Middle school registration is not open yet, but will be soon!)
