We’re so excited to kick off another amazing school year together at our Welcome Back Picnic!

📅 Thursday, September 3rd
⏰ 5:00–7:00 PM
📍 Otsego Elementary School

Bring your family, grab your lawn chairs or a blanket, and join us for an evening of fun with our Otsego community! ☀️

🍦 Ice cream & snacks provided by the PTA

🚚 Food truck available for purchase

Feel free to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks and make a picnic out of it! 🧺

💙💛 And don’t forget to stop by our PTA Membership Table! If you haven’t joined yet for the 2026–2027 school year, this is the perfect opportunity to become part of the PTA and help support all the wonderful events and experiences we have planned for our Otsego students!

🎣🦉 Ollie reeled in some BIG news… we’ve officially reached 100 PTA members! 🎉💙💛

Thank you to everyone who has already joined the Otsego PTA for the 2026–2027 school year! We’re so excited to hit this milestone — but Ollie isn’t ready to pack up his fishing pole just yet! 😉

🐟 We’re still fishing for more members! Every membership helps strengthen our Otsego community and supports the programs, events, and experiences we provide for our students throughout the year.

📚✨ Let’s Read! ✨📚

The NYS PTA Every Child Reads Contest has officially been announced! Last year, Half Hollow Hills’ very own Vanderbilt Elementary student Charlotte Yu was one of the statewide winners—and this year, it could be your child! 🌟

NYS PTA is challenging elementary and middle school students (Pre-K through 8th Grade) to share their creativity through a video, poster, or essay exploring the theme:

💭 “Why is reading important for your health & wellness?”

Contest Highlights:

Who Can Enter: Elementary and Middle School students (includes a Special Artist category).

Prizes: One Grand Prize winner receives a $100 Barnes & Noble gift card, and 10 student winners will receive a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card! 🎁

Special Recognition: Winners will also be invited to the Literacy Banquet at the NYS PTA Convention in Saratoga Springs!

Deadline: Entries must be submitted by September 15.
Encourage your young readers, writers, and artists to participate and showcase their talent! 🎨📝🎥
