🏡 WPSD Homeschool Opportunities, Open House, and Curriculum Swap

Woodland Park School District is excited to offer WPSD Homeschool Connections — a flexible enrichment option designed to give homeschool families more opportunities, experiences, and connections while keeping the flexibility that makes homeschooling work for your family.

✨ What can students do?
• STEAM and hands-on creative projects
• Catamount Institute outdoor learning
• Swim
• PE and active learning
• Math & Literacy support
And there are even more possibilities! 🎓

K–8 students can combine Homeschool Connections with Summit’s EA Program, while Jr./Sr. high school students can pair it with our Take Two Program for opportunities such as trades, college credits, online classes, sports, theater, and band. Or, students can participate in Homeschool Connections on its own!

You choose what works for your family:
➡️ One day a week
➡️ Two days a week
➡️ Two half days
➡️ Makeup days can even be scheduled when needed

Parents are welcome to stay, or you can drop off your student. Younger siblings are welcome, too, with Pre-K play spaces available under parent supervision.

Woohoo!!! We are incredibly proud to share that Samantha Radtke, special education teacher at Summit Elementary, has been named a 2027 Colorado Teacher of the Year Semifinalist! 🎉

We are so proud to have Samantha representing Summit Elementary and Woodland Park School District RE-2 at the state level!

🏡 Introducing Homeschool Connections at Gateway!

We're excited to announce a new opportunity designed to support homeschooling families in our community!

Homeschool Connections at Gateway is being developed to provide:
🍎 Certified teachers
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Parent/guardian involvement and volunteer opportunities
📚 Grade-band classrooms for age-appropriate learning and socialization
📅 Tuesday & Thursday programming

This new program is designed to complement Woodland Park School District's current homeschool offerings—not replace them. Homeschool families can continue taking advantage of our Take Two program and Online/Enrichment Academy opportunities while also participating in Homeschool Connections at Gateway, creating even more flexible educational options for your family.

Our wonderful office staff will be here at Summit May 26th through May 29th, so bring $20 and make sure to get your yearbook before we run out!

‼️ Summit Elementary will be closed today, May 20, due to a power outage impacting the school. All other District schools and bus routes will run on a normal 2-hour delayed schedule.

WPSD will be on a 2-hour delay today May 20, due to overnight snow accumulation. No AM Preschool. Jr./Sr. High School students will receive an advisory assignment to complete during the 2-hour delay. Columbine and Summit students should complete the 2-hour delay Google Form that the principals will send.

It's a busy Thursday! Join us tonight from 5 PM till 7 PM for a night of Science, Singing, and a Silent Auction!

Our 5th Graders have been working hard on their science projects and are excited to show off their findings! After that, you can enjoy the school-wide music program starting at 6 PM tonight in the Gym. Alongside these activities we're also hosting a Silent Auction to support our DI teams to help fund their trip to Globals!

We hope to see you there and cheer on our Soaring Summit Eagles!
