Heavy storms have entered the Benson, NC area and have concluded Thursday's on track activities at PDRA Drag Wars. After a tough test session for a number of teams, the masses are now prepared for qualifying that will now begin Friday morning at 8:30am with Top and Pro Jr. Dragster.

Racer Registration will remain open until 9pm this evening and overnight stacking will begin at that time.

Newcomer to the Liberty's Gears gears Pro Street presented by KTR Drag Racing category, drag N drive competitors Devin Vanderhoof and Josh Davis are trading in the trailer hitch this weekend for a set of 33x10.5W's wheelie bars.

Known for there small tire terror on drag and drives like Sick Week and Sick Summer, the duo have faced some of the toughest challenges when it comes to making a car work well on the racetrack as well survive a drive.

But the question is can they tackle the tough act of making it work on slicks, as well as taking on one of the toughest categories in drag racing. We are fixing to find out here this weekend at Darana Motorsports Park, for the PDRA Drag Wars presented by Big Stuff TPM!

First pair down the racetrack, Eric Dillard reminds everyone that it’s not his first rodeo. Team El General Racing currently holds low elapsed time of testing with a 3.584 at 208mph, featuring a .901 sixty foot time.

Today, we kick off the opening day of the PDRA BigStuff TPM Drag Wars! We begin with pre-race testing, available for all categories and then round one of qualifying for Top Sportsman and Top Dragster categories around 5pm and the first round of Pro qualifying estimated at 7pm!

FloDragRacing will be live this afternoon around 4pm through the conclusion of Thursday's activities if you can't make it out!

PDRA officials have made the decision to move the opening round of qualifying for the Professional categories to Thursday evening following testing, replacing a fourth test session at this weekend's PDRA BigStuff TPM Drag Wars at Darana Motorsports Park - Benson, NC. This move is due to the projected inclement weather forecast on Friday afternoon/evening that could affect the Benson, NC area.

At this time, Friday's schedule remains the same. If no weather enters the area on Friday, the schedule will be run as originally posted with Pros now receiving a total of four qualifying sessions.
