We will see you on Monday, August 24th at 8:15 am, if you are in Pre-K or Kindergarten, and on Tuesday, August 25th if you are in 1st through 5th grade!

Good afternoon, Southside Families!

I am so excited to be returning to Southside and look forward to meeting each of you!

Yesterday was my official first day, and we’re in the process of getting all of my communication accounts set up. In the meantime, I wanted to share an opportunity for you to meet your new administrative team through our social media page and invite you to mark your calendars for an upcoming event.

Please also join me in welcoming Mr. Devin Moody, who will be serving as our Assistant Principal! Mr. Moody brings extensive experience in elementary education and school leadership, having served as an assistant principal, instructional leader, teacher, and team leader. His expertise in instructional coaching, student support, restorative practices, and relationship-building will be a tremendous asset to our Southside community.

We can’t wait to meet our students and families and begin an amazing school year together. Until then, enjoy the rest of your summer, stay safe, and keep cool! 😎

Today, our rising 6th graders from Southside Elementary School took an exciting step toward their future by participating in Transition Camp hosted by Dinwiddie Middle School! 🎉

Students had the opportunity to explore their new school, meet staff members, learn about expectations, and build confidence as they prepare for this important transition. We are proud of our future Generals and know they will do amazing things as they begin this next chapter of their educational journey.

A special thank you to Dinwiddie Middle School for hosting such a welcoming and informative event for our students. We can't wait to see all that our Southside students accomplish in middle school! 💙💛

🚌💙 One final loop around the parking lot… and just like that, the 2025-2026 school year has come to an end at Southside Elementary School!

Today marked the final bus ride of the school year as our buses made one last trip around the circle, filled with memories, laughter, growth, and Southside pride. Thank you to our amazing students, families, staff, and transportation team for making this year so special.

We hope everyone has a safe, fun, and relaxing summer break! ☀️🐝

🚌💙 Una última vuelta por el estacionamiento… ¡y así terminó el año escolar 2025-2026 en Southside Elementary School!

Hoy marcó el último recorrido de autobuses del año escolar mientras nuestros autobuses daban una última vuelta alrededor de la escuela, llenos de recuerdos, risas, crecimiento y orgullo de Southside. Gracias a nuestros increíbles estudiantes, familias, personal y equipo de transporte por hacer este año tan especial.

Due to technical issues with our Student Information System, physical report cards are currently unavailable for distribution.
Once the issue has been resolved, report cards will be mailed to the address we have on file for your student.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work with Infinite Campus to correct this matter as quickly as possible.

If you need to update your mailing address or have any questions, please contact your child's school.
