What better way to wrap up 2025 than with some well-earned promotions? 🥋✨

We are officially ending the year on a high note at 144 BJJ! Huge congratulations to two of our dedicated practitioners who leveled up tonight:

⭐ Isaiah earned his very first stripe! That first piece of tape is a major milestone. It’s proof of surviving the scariest part of BJJ— just getting on the mat.
⭐ Mac earned her second stripe! Mac’s consistency and technical growth have been awesome to watch. She’s building a solid foundation, one class at a time.

As we look toward the New Year, we couldn’t be more excited for what 2026 has in store for our team in Dinwiddie. Whether you are chasing your first stripe or your next belt, the journey never stops, and the progress never ends.

Let’s carry this momentum into 2026 and keep building something special together. See you all on the mats next year!

Promotions Are Rolling In! Huge Celebrations at 144 BJJ! 🎉🥋

The dedication and consistency of our students continue to inspire us! We are thrilled to celebrate some major milestones and well-deserved promotions across our adults and kids programs this week.

🌟 Belt Promotions:
Donnie: A massive congratulations to Donnie on achieving his Blue Belt! This is a huge step, reflecting countless hours of hard work, perseverance, and growth on the mat. Welcome to the next level of the journey!

Seo: Shout-out to Seo, who has earned his Yellow/White Belt! This kid is a warrior who loves the grind. He’s got big dreams and the work ethic to make them a reality. Keep it up, son!

Will: Congratulations to Will on earning his Gray/White Belt! This kid loves training and beating up on the older guys. I’m proud of you, kid!

** New Stripes:**
We also want to recognize Declan and Eloise, who both earned new stripes! These small steps represent big victories in technique, discipline, and mat time. Keep stacking those achievements!

To everyone promoted: We are immensely proud of your hard work and commitment to the Jiu-Jitsu journey. Thank you for making 144 BJJ in Dinwiddie, VA, such an amazing place to train.

🦃 Happy Thanksgiving, 144 BJJ Family! 🍁

Here's our schedule for the next couple days:
- Wrestling practice is on today, 11/26, but youth and adult BJJ are canceled this evening.
- CLOSED Thursday, 11/27 through Saturday, 11/29 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

This time is dedicated to rest, spending time with family, and eating enough turkey to make your future weight cuts interesting! 😉

We encourage everyone to enjoy the break, and we look forward to seeing you back on the mats, energized and ready to roll, when our regular schedule resumes on Monday, December 1st.

The wrestling season officially kicked off last night at 144 BJJ!

We are fired up to welcome the kids back to Dinwiddie Wrestling Club and, specifically, to put our BRAND NEW PIT to work! Get ready for an incredible season of takedowns, escapes, discipline, and serious growth in a state-of-the-art training space.

Whether you're a returning champion or just starting your journey, tonight is the night to hit the mat, sweat hard, and push your limits.

Parents, come check us out! If you still need to register or want to check out the program, we are ready for you.

The past month at 144 BJJ has been full of growth and changes for our team. As always, we’re happy to celebrate the dedication and hard work of our entire team! We are incredibly proud of every adult and kid who earned a well-deserved stripe.

Looks like the adults weren't the only ones leveling up! 🥋

Our kids' class has been putting in incredible work, and their dedication is paying off in a big way. We're so excited to announce that Ethan and Capri have been promoted to their Gray Belts! This is a huge milestone that shows their commitment, hard work, and growing understanding of the art.

A big shout-out also goes to the entire class! We had a ton of kids earn new stripes over the past few weeks. Every stripe represents new techniques learned, improved focus, and the dedication to show up and train. The energy on the mats has been awesome, and the kids refuse to be outdone by the adults 💪.

The future of jiu-jitsu at 144 BJJ is looking bright! Keep up the great work, team.
