❤️ T-Bird Families: One Student at a Time 🐦
As we head into another busy week, we want to remind our families of something simple but powerful: big impact happens one student at a time.
Our students don't need us to do everything perfectly. They need caring adults who notice them, encourage them, believe in them, give them second chances, and continue to show up for them. A positive conversation, a word of encouragement, or simply taking the time to listen can make a bigger difference than we may ever realize.
As parents, families, and educators, we are all part of that team. Together, we can make a difference one student at a time.
📚 Family Conferences — Thursday & Friday, October 8–9
We look forward to connecting with our WIS families during Family Conferences this Thursday and Friday!
📌 Both days are Minimum Days.
⏰ Students will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m.
Teachers will be reaching out this week to schedule conference times with families. If there is a specific teacher you would like to meet with, please send the teacher a message through ParentSquare or call the WIS office so the teacher can arrange a meeting or phone call with you.
These conferences are an important opportunity to learn about your student's progress, celebrate their successes, discuss areas for growth, and work together on ways we can continue supporting them.
⏰ Please Help Us With On-Time Attendance
We also want to emphasize the importance of students arriving on time every day.
Students should arrive early enough to get to their first-period classroom before 8:00 a.m. Being late can create anxiety for students as they enter class after instruction has already begun, and it can also disrupt the learning of others.
Please remember that WIS students may have no more than 15 tardies during their middle school years to participate in the WIS 8th Grade Promotion event. Every minute of instructional time matters, and establishing good attendance habits now helps set students up for success.
Thank you for helping your student get enough rest, prepare for the school day, and arrive at school on time each morning. Your support makes a difference!

Have a wonderful week, T-Bird Families!
