What a crazy school year......If you would have asked me in January of 2020 that I would have taught completely virtual through Zoom, then teaching in a hybrid model, then four days a week in-person with a virtual day on Friday....I would have called you crazy. However, we survived and as always tackled the challenge the best we could. Now I am already looking into next year with hopes of some kind of normalcy. I have begun working on my classroom Google Site that I have provided the link for in this post.
I am also tutoring this summer, so if anyone needs assistance with filling in gaps from the school year please let me know. I will take students ranging from grades 1-12 in English and grades 1-6 in Math.
Let's prepare for this school year in a positive and encouraging way!

Starting off the year distance learning...it is a challenge, but a challenge taken optimistically.

Summer is upon us once again! This has certainly been a crazy end of the school year.
I will still be doing tutoring this summer, but due to COVID-19, I will be doing virtual tutoring instead of face-to-face. I am proficient in different online learning platforms as well as Zoom. If there are any students that need tutoring please message me for information!
If you know anyone who would need tutoring for their child, please share this post!

If your student is having issues with their online learning platform during this time of distance learning, please message me! I would be more than happy to help out your student! Tutoring can be extremely beneficial to any student whether it be for gaining additional support in a subject or for receiving accelerated learning support (gifted). I am a certified teacher in many different areas (Elementary, English & Social Studies for Middle School as well as High School). If you are interested in tutoring for your child please message me.

In my 8th grade classroom I created an early finishers board (found the idea on Pinterest) so my students are always engaged in some enriching activities during our class time. These activities range from summarizing a newspaper article they liked, comparing themselves to their favorite book character, responding to our article of the week and many others. It gives them a chance to choose how their time is spent. So far they are greatly enjoying the power of choice!
