Little People Daycare

Little People Daycare Kids are my business! :) I am a licensed group family childcare provider. My daycare is inspected yearly by Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE).

I began my childcare career in 1991 and in 2000, purchased a second home that is used only for daycare so it is more of a childcare center atmosphere. I am a participant of Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and I am also a SRS contracted provider.

It’s been a busy week and a half at daycare since school started! Just getting back to a regular schedule with just the littles here and acclimate the newbies to our routine but I think we’re there! 😊Today, spaghetti, cooked carrots, pineapple, with milk was “What’s for Lunch?” and, of course, there were some messy hands & faces….even hair in Bentley’s case!! After lunch, they chose Nuts and Bolts to play with, then turned them into microphones and sang ‘rock n roll’ into them!! 🎶🎤

First day of school today…..man, it was QUIET where I work without all the BIGS there! We practiced walking back to daycare from school both Tuesday and Wednesday. Rhen & Hudson are the leaders this year and by all accounts, everyone did what they were supposed to do, get to daycare safely.

One of my absolute FAVORITES is when past daycare kiddos come by to visit. Last week, kiddos came barreling downstairs in the middle of naps and River Jacobs jumped onto my lap with a hug before I could even figured out who he was. Then I saw his twin brother Ridge peak around the corner! I wasn’t even mad, just so surprised and so happy to see them!! 💙💙
