A little more pink around OPR this month!🩷🎀

This October, the OPR crew is coming together and wearing pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

This cause is especially close to home for our OPR family this year, as one of our own is currently facing breast cancer. We wanted her to know she doesn’t have to face it alone - an entire team is standing behind her💗

To those fighting, those who have fought, survivors, caregivers, and the families behind them - we’re thinking of you and standing with you.

Meet Sam 👋

Sam is our Production Manager and a third-generation member of the OPR family. He’s the grandson of Bobbie Hutson, Founder of Ocean Products Research!

Sam has been around OPR from a young age. Today he plays an important role in our Production Team, helping keep things moving and making sure the work that leaves our shop meets the standards our customers have loved to expect.

Sam’s favorite part of the job? Is that OPR is still locally owned and employed in such a special small town like Mathew’s.

It’s pretty special to have another generation of the Hutson family carry on the OPR story.

Meet Sean! 👋

We’re continuing our Meet the OPR Team series with Sean, our Sales Manager!

Sean works with our customers every day to help find the right rope, assemblies, and solutions for their specific needs. From answering questions to helping turn an idea to a finished product, he’s an important part of what keeps OPR moving.

Sean served as a Boatswain’s Mate in the U.S. Coast Guard before joining OPR. His maritime operations background helps support military and commercial customers with rope assemblies and tactical rigging solutions!

His favorite part of the job? Talking with service members and knowing the assemblies we’re making actually serves them.

We’re grateful to have Sean as part of the OPR crew! 🪢

Our OPR team will be taking a well deserved day off on Monday, September 7th, and we’ll be back in the shop on Tuesday, September 8th.

We’re grateful for the hardworking people who make OPR what it is-and for the families that support them.
