While driving home today I stopped for gas and saw a gentleman open carrying a 1911. As a fellow 1911 fan I looked at it and was immediately surprised and disappointed the he was carrying with his hammer down… whether it was “condition 2 or 3” I don’t know… Please, folks.. learn your weapons system and train like your life and that of your family’s lives depend on it… because they do. Do not carry condition 2-3… there is a lot of internet hype from people that are worth listening to promoting that… carry your pistol ready to draw and fire “condition 1”, no extra steps like cocking a hammer or racking the slide to chamber a round… if there’s a manual safety, train using it.. beyond that stop this silliness of carrying condition 2-3….🤦🏻
