📖 TURN THE PAGE AND FIND THE CLARINETS 📖

These seven have been writing their own chapter in The Wonder Book all season. They know their part, keep the story moving, and take care of what needs to be done. Once rehearsal is over, they’re rarely all in the same place — they’ve got friends everywhere.

This crew stacks up nicely and has been holding down the low brass end while they do it. Apparently, holding each other up is an important part of the job; it seems they’ve got this whole teamwork thing figured out.

ANOTHER PAGE WRITTEN IN THE WONDER BOOK!

Heading into Fall Break, the DCHS Marching Cougars traveled to Huntingdon, TN, for the Huntingdon Marching Band Invitational, where they once again brought The Wonder Book: A Waldo Story to life! ❤️🤍

The Cougars competed in Class AAAAA during preliminary competition and earned:

- 3rd Place Percussion
- 3rd Place Color Guard
- 2nd Place Band

But the story wasn’t finished yet… 📖

With 21 bands competing, our preliminary performance earned the Marching Cougars a spot among the TOP 10 BANDS advancing to FINALS!

🔎 WALDO WAS HEADED BACK TO THE FIELD! 🔎

The Cougars performed 9th in Finals at 8:00 PM and finished the night with:

- 5th Place Color Guard
- 4th Place Percussion
- 5th Place Music
- 3rd Place Visual
- 5th Place Band Overall

We are incredibly proud of the DCHS Band!

These students have put in countless hours of rehearsal, continued to push themselves week after week, and represented Dickson County with pride. Tonight, they earned their place among the Top 5 bands of the evening in an outstanding field of competitors.

Every contest adds another page to our story. Every rehearsal gives us another opportunity to improve. And every performance brings us one step closer to becoming the very best version of ourselves.

Now it’s time for a well-earned FALL BREAK!

🔎📖 ANOTHER PAGE. ANOTHER INCREDIBLE NIGHT. 📖🔎

The DCHS Marching Cougars had another outstanding performance tonight at the Columbia Marching Invitational, presenting our 2026 production:

❤️🤍 THE WONDER BOOK: A WALDO STORY 🤍❤️

The competition was fierce, but our students stepped onto the field ready to perform — and they delivered!

CLASS AAA
- 2nd Place Color Guard
- 2nd Place Percussion
- 1st Place Band

And among 18 bands competing overall:

- 2nd Place Color Guard
- 2nd Place Percussion
- 2nd Place Visual
- 2nd Place Music
- 2nd Place Band — RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION!

And when we say this competition was CLOSE… we mean CLOSE! Just 0.85 points separated 3rd place, 2nd place, and the Grand Champion.

Less than ONE POINT separated three incredible bands.

Tonight was another reminder that every note matters. Every step matters. Every toss matters. Every count matters. Every detail matters.

And there are still more pages left to write.

To our students: keep searching. Keep pushing. Keep refining. Keep believing in one another.

Because when the difference is less than a point, you don’t wonder whether you’re close…

You KNOW you are. ❤️🤍
