Our goal is to provide a structured, fun and loving environment for your children to grow and learn! Dickson FUMC Preschool is a 2 day a week program that has classes for ages 2-5 years. We are a Christian based preschool that not only teaches children the love of God but also helps to prepare them for Kindergarten. Our staff is one of the most loving and wonderful group of people you will meet who really care in helping to prepare your child for the future.

Hi everyone! My name is Makayla, and I’m so excited to be joining the 2’s room for my first year here! I’m a lifelong Dickson resident and have loved raising my family here. When I’m not working, I spend most of my time with my husband, Colton, and our daughters Charlee & Drue. I’m looking forward to the year ahead!🤍

Today brings us to our last staff member. The Director- Mrs. Renee Singleton. I am about to start my sixth year as Director. I love the opportunity the church has given me to be the Director. I love working with an amazing group of ladies and am so grateful to the families who entrust us with their children every year.

My husband, David and I have been married for 21 years and have 2 children. Alex is 20 and Sara is 17. As a family we love to travel and I love to scrapbook and craft.

I am excited to start another school year, see all our returning friends and meet all our new friends!

Every incredible lead teacher needs an equally amazing assistant. Rounding out our K5/ K4+ class and our preschool teaching staff is Mrs. Mesha Peters.

Hello everyone, My name is Mesha Peters, I'm the assistant teacher in the M-W 4+ class and also in the T-Th 5 year old class. This is my 6th year at FMC preschool. I have experience with children of all ages. I owned my own daycare and worked with children at Developmental Services with special needs. and also with teen boys at Jackson Academy. I worked as an EMT-IV for several years.
I am from Dickson and have lived here all my life. I am happily married to my husband Steve. I have 2 children Trace (22) and Colton (17). Steve has 3 grown Boys with family's of their own.
I am so excited to meet all the new family's and students and the ones from previous years.

Hi! I am Mrs. Alison Owen. I have been teaching at DFMC Preschool since 2016. I have taught in the 2 and 3 year old classes, and this will be my 8th year leading our 5's class and the first year of doing a 4+ class! I grew up in an Air Force family, traveling all over the world, before landing in Kentucky. I earned my bachelor of arts degree in elementary education from Murray State University, before relocating with my husband to Dickson in 2006. We have two great kids: a son, Eric (17), and a daughter, Zelda (13). In my free time I love to draw, paint, read and listen to audiobooks, see movies, collect Pez dispensers and crazy earrings, and travel! I can't wait to see some familiar faces in the classroom this year, and I am excited to meet our brand new kiddos and families!
