Congratulations to all of the Teachers and Support Staff of the Year! Three of the four teachers recognized taught my daughter, Hannah, and each made a lasting impact on her education. Ms. Reeves was a student teacher just beginning her career when Hannah had the opportunity to learn from her. Mrs. Dunkin was a phenomenal teacher and mentor, and Mr. Hedstrom is, without question, one of the best calculus teachers in the county. We are truly grateful for their dedication, leadership, and commitment to the students of Diboll ISD.

DIBOLL — Diboll ISD campus principals recognized their employees of the year Monday evening during the school board’s regular meeting inside the district’s administration boardroom.

The unofficial results of the 2026 School Board Election are in. All 3 incumbent candidates were re-elected.

Thank you to all the voters for showing up and supporting the work that’s being done in the district.

As a current school board member serving the 2024–2027 term, I want to encourage our community to stay informed and engaged in the upcoming school board election.

There are three at-large board positions on the ballot this year. The candidates, in ballot order, are:

Nathan Terrell (current board member)
Laurel Youngblood (current board member)
Andre Emmons
Mike Terrell (current board member)
Aaron Smith

I encourage everyone to take time to research each candidate, understand their perspectives, and consider the impact of this election on our schools.
