We’re hiring!

We are searching for a responsible, motivated high school student interested in a career in education!

Details:
⭐️ Mondays-Thursdays
⭐️ After school until 6:30 PM
(Preferred start time is 3:30 if possible)
⭐️ Potential for additional hours when we are working on a big project or prepping for a special event
⭐️ $8.50/hour

Ideal Candidate:
⭐️ Able to effectively communicate with both children and adults
⭐️ Outgoing, friendly personality
⭐️ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
⭐️ Strong work ethic
⭐️ Desire to LEARN!

Job announcement:
Part-time Reading Interventionist for our after-school Literacy Academy program located at The Literacy Lady’s Learning Studio in Diamondhead, MS.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Elementary or Special Education
-Valid MS teaching license that includes endorsement in Reading (K-12)
-Seven years of classroom teaching experience
-Training in evidence-based reading methodology
-Basic knowledge of characteristics of dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities
-Availability to commit to working with students after school on Mondays & Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00 PM

Preferred Qualifications:
-Master’s degree in Elementary or Special Education
-Multiple teachings endorsements that represent a wide range of training and expertise
-15 years of classroom experience, with the majority of that experience in elementary education
-Advanced training and/or certifications in evidence-based reading methodology
-Advanced knowledge of characteristics of dyslexia and other language-based learning disabilities
