Helping families navigate the increasingly complex and competitive college admissions process College admission counseling services

05/07/2026

Congratulations to my graduating Class of 2026! 🎓🎉 I am fortunate to work with some incredibly ambitious and talented young adults, and it was an honor to support them through this chapter of their lives.

I encourage students to aim high, not because every student will get into a highly selective college, but because the process of applying demands something most 17-year-olds have never been asked to do: articulate who they are, what they value, and what they want to contribute to the world.

Yes, we have moments of joy and celebration, but also of heartbreak, tears, and eventual acceptance, all of which I strive to be present for. My role, at its core, is simple: to be a mirror. I reflect back the beauty, the imperfections, and the stories that are undeniably theirs, so that kids can, often for the first time, truly see themselves.

Students who go through that process, even with the inevitable rejections, come out the other side with a clearer picture of who they are and the courage to share it with the world. That clarity is worth more than any acceptance letter.

These are the colleges my students will attend in the fall. It’s just a list, but there is a life behind each one.

Had a great time at WACAC SLC today getting updates on the college admission process and learning how to better serve our students! Attended sessions on that state of SAT/ACT in admission and how the UC system plans to increase enrollment for California high school students.

Among other changes, “UC will suspend the standardized test requirement (SAT and ACT) for students applying for fall 2021 freshman admission. This modification is not intended as an admissions policy shift but is rather a temporary accommodation driven by the current extraordinary circumstances.”

We’re sorry to have to temporarily close our office, but the good news is that we are still available for virtual meetings! Some of you won’t even notice, as about 40% of our meetings are already conducted virtually 🙂 As some students prepare to choose a college and others prepare to start their applications while schools are closed, we are happy to answer your questions and offer you guidance!

If you’re just getting started, visit our website in our bio to request a video meeting.

We learned all about the brand new UC application at the UC Counselor Conference last week. This is the first major application update in a decade! The workshop on effective responses to the Personal Insight Questions was enlightening. Also met with some amazing and passionate admission officers from the 9 undergraduate UC campuses.

UC acceptance rates by campus for Fall 2019 Freshman Admission (In-State students only). UCLA is breaking away from the pack with regard to selectivity. And UC Irvine’s quickly becoming a top choice for in-state applicants! Even with all the selectivity hype, a 62% overall acceptance rate means the UC system still remains accessible.

Our student database login has been upgraded! Students can now reset their PIN by using the “Forgot PIN” link (as pictured). For security reasons, counselors can NO LONGER see your PIN, so please reset it on your own if necessary!
