Say hello to Hunter and Annabelle!👋They are the new Courtesy Boat Inspectors on Sebec Lake. The Sebec Lake Association, in partnership with the Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Town of Dover-Foxcroft launched their Courtesy Boat Inspection (CBI) program at Greeley’s Landing on Sebec Lake on Saturday, July 25th. The CBI program was developed by the Maine Department of Environmental Protection and works with volunteers and paid staff to meet with boaters before they launch their boats, explain about invasive aquatic species such as Eurasian Milfoil and Zebra Mussels, remind boaters about the importance of the Clean, Drain, Dry process to prevent movement of invasive species to other lakes, and inspect boats and trailers for any evidence of invasive species or residual plants before they are launched.

The donation amount was $4,470.00, not $4,000.00. My apologies for the previous error.

Thank you to K.C. at Paris Farmers Union in Newport for the donation of screws, nails, and assorted fasteners. The donation had a value of almost $4,000!

The donation is very much appreciated and will be used in TCTC's Carpentry and Construction Building Program.

Adam Smith of Dexter, who teaches at the Tri-County Technical Center, played disc golf for 24 hours straight on Saturday, June 20, at Black Stream Disc Golf on Burrough Road in Sangerville. Middle School Camp Alert! Join us for a week-long canoe and camping trip on the Penobscot River July 20th- 23rd!
This is a physically demanding but rewarding experience with participants canoeing over 25 miles in 4 days on one of Maine’s most beautiful rivers and exploring the rugged beauty of the North Maine Woods. Activities include paddling and outdoor skill building. Varied levels of outdoor experience and skill are welcome.
