A sad day for the Dexter nation, from coach Winkelseth;

It has become clear over the last few weeks that I no longer have a place with the Dexter Varsity hockey team. Rather than allow the situation to continue to drag on from Summer into Fall, I have decided to move on and accept a position as an assistant with another program. It’s been a great run for the last 9 years, and I am incredibly thankful to the players and their families for all the cooperation and support. It’s exceedingly rare for a coach to stay in one place for any length of time these days, and I’m grateful for the opportunity I’ve had at Dexter.

I wish the new coaching staff and the team the best of luck in the upcoming season, and I’ll continue to follow their progress as an interested alum of the program.
