At 8:22 a.m. today, school officials were notified by the Dexter Police Department of a threat made toward an individual student. Out of an abundance of caution, and in coordination with local law enforcement, our campus immediately entered a temporary lockdown while the situation was investigated. Please be assured that a threat was never made toward the school district or the campus as a whole. Once the Dexter Police Department confirmed that the threat was neutralized, the lockdown was safely lifted, and our normal school day resumed. We are deeply grateful to the Dexter Police Department and the Stoddard County Sheriff's Office for their rapid response and support this morning. Our fundamental responsibility is providing a secure environment for your children to learn and our educators to teach. As a reminder, during any emergency situation, official updates will always come directly from school leaders as soon as verified information is available. Thank you for your understanding and continued partnership in keeping our school community safe.
