We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of the students, athletic teams, and staff from other DLPS schools who volunteered their time to help us get CMS ready for students. We had A LOT of work to do this week, and we have only been able to accomplish it because of the help that we received. We are excited to welcome students back and start a new school year on Friday!

Combo Team gave out our end of the year awards yesterday! Some of these are funny and some are more serious. Both core and encore staff gave input into choosing these.

Due to the forecasted weather for tomorrow, the Combo Team is changing our field trip plans. Instead of spending the day at Stump Lake Park, we will be doing the following:

9:00-11:00 - Dockside Entertainment
11:00-12:00 - Lunch & WIN Time
12:00-1:15 - Team awards and gym free-time
1:15-3:30 - Movies

If you would like to give a $5 donation to help us with the unexpected cost of Dockside Entertainment, we would appreciate it! Money can be brought to Mrs. Wasness tomorrow.

Dockside Entertainment:
• Bowling, simulators, and bounce houses will be available.
• Concessions will probably be open and Dockside has the arcade games. Students can bring extra money for these items.

The 8th graders on the Combo Team presented their Energy Source IDU Projects this morning. Each group was assigned an energy source, and they had to create a business and sell a product/service. They had some creative ideas and some great product pitches!

Our 7th graders voted on the best product pitch, and it was a tie between our Oil and BioDiesel groups!
