A scheduling screw up caused me to miss my live seminar on September 2nd so I will be doing it September 3rd. Thursday evening at 7 pm I will go live on my page as well as at Visit Devils Lake, North Dakota to bring you the latest information to help you catch as many walleye as you can this coming Holiday weekend.

See you then. Bring your questions.

Back on the water today and did ok. No extras but clients got their 10. The Mack's Lure UV Glow Burst with a pearl Gulp minnow caught 8 of the 10. The walleye are keyed in on little white bass for sure. We actually caught several small enough for a walleye to eat today.

Two different flooded roads. Both the same depth. 13 feet. 1.2 mph.

I have been getting quite a few inquiries about trips to the Forgotten Coast to fish with me this winter.

The nearest airport is Tallahassee, FL and there are some pretty good rates on air travel right now. The one hang up seems to be the length of stay to get the best rates.

I am more than willing to work with clients on the length of stay. If you only want to fish 3 days, but the flights make sense to stay 4 or 5, I will toss in the extra nights of lodging at NO CHARGE!! Only pay for the fishing package of your choice. The extra nights are on me.

I have checked many flights for folks and it seems that $500 or less is pretty common.

Book now to get your dates and the best rates on airfare. It only goes up the longer you wait.

The late, great Pete Harsh would call me a sissy if he were here to say it, but the lake is not meant for man nor beast today. I sure hope no one tried to go out there today.

My Lund Boats wouldn't even like it like this.

August and September are undeniably the toughest months of the season for any angler in the North. The excuses and wife's tales are many.

Bottom line is that there is an over abundance of food. Everything that hatched in the spring is the right size to be eaten right now.

If you are coming to Devils Lake, ND, be prepared to see this in your live well. Fish with white baits in the 3 inch range and you up your odds greatly.

Fished the same flooded road all day today. 13 feet of water. Mack's Lure smile blades in UV Glowburst with Pearl Gulp Minnows caught the first 7. Then they got lock jaw.

Aftet telling myself never leave fish to find fish for over an hour without a bite, I had to do something.

Pulled out the bobbers and leeches and got 4 in 20 minutes. Then lock jaw again.

End result was a really nice mess of fish. 10 for them and 1 for me. Just right for a fish sandwich.

Humminbird Helix users that have switched to Humminbird Xplore sometimes get frustrated looking for things. This just may help a little.

Got back on the water today after a little break. The weather was great and the fishing was solid. Nothing incredible but very respectable. Even got a few for the guide.

The first 10 came trolling Mack's Lure Smile Blades and Gulp on a flooded road in 13 feet of water. The last three came on bobber and leeches on a rock pile in 16 feet of water.

Off tomorrow and back at it Saturday. Stay tuned.
