Street Art Throwdown Award-winning artist Justin BUA serves as host, co-judge and executive producer on the show, which pits 10 up-and-coming artists against one another in a series of challenges where they will out-paint and out-race each other in the hopes of winning bragging rights and a $100,000 grand prize.
(Nina) I have been informed that I am to be honored with the "Spirit of Detroit" Award for our teams work on behalf of Hangers for Hope. I am truly speechless and floored by this. However, I am not the one who should be honored. The whole team of people that got the "Creative Youth Detroit" event together in such a short time are the real heroes here. I could not thank them enough for all they did. Michael Lapp took the lead and ran with it Tim, Alex X3, DJ, Cody, Aija, theyellowwall.org, Alvah, Printing On Call... there were so many that made this happen. They all deserve great praise. This was a big team effort and I am sorry if I missed anyone. I love you all.
