Join Us for a Special Dance Class with Guest Artist Celebrating Our Co-Instructors, Khloe’s, Birthday! 🎉

The festivities will start at 5pm with a drum class with our Guest Drummer Birame “ Baye” Mboup !

• Drum Classe: $20
• Adults Dance: $20
• Youth: Free

Join us for a month long residency with Birame “Baye” Mboup, Musical Director of the National Ballet du Senegal. A special drum class series in traditional West African rhythms as Baye brings his artistry, knowledge, and global experience to Detroit.

Another day in Dakar done!

We went to get some maafe and chicken yassa for lunch then headed to the Daniel Sorano National Theatre for Sabar drum class. Afterwards we went to the Blaise Senghor Cultural Center to check out a Sabar class and dance rehearsal.
