Happy Arbor Day 🌳🌲! Today we celebrated by planting 7 trees on campus near AWD and parking structure 5!
We’d like to take time to highlight all of the amazing work our grounds crew do on campus especially today! Without Donna R. and her team we would not be able to reach our tree planting goals! Because of them we have a Tree Campus USA designation! Make sure to walk campus and check out all our young trees!! 🌳

🌳ARBOR DAY IS ALMOST HERE, WARRIORS!
(RSVP in bio!)
Did you know Wayne State University is recognized as a Tree Campus by the Arbor Day Foundation? That means we’ve planted enough trees to aid in storm water reduction, noise pollution, and sustaining our local ecosystem - none of that is possible without the help of our amazing student volunteers! 🪏
This Arbor Day, we need YOUR help to plant even more trees on our campus! Mark your calendars for this Friday, the 24th, to get your green on and plant a tree! đź’š

We understand this may cause time conflicts, and apologize for any inconvenience. We hope you can still join us this Friday!đź’š

Our office is working to turn big ideas into real impact, from expanding green infrastructure that manages stormwater and supports biodiversity, to improving recycling systems that make it easier for our campus community to reduce waste every day.

📍MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
In our continued celebration of Green Street, the OCS and UN-RCE are hosting the 2nd annual Sustainability at Work Seminar on Thursday, November 6th!
SAW will feature expert panelists of diverse disciplines to discuss sustainability within their field. During this panel and dicussion, students will explore how sustainability is integrated into every line of work, not just those we most expect.
During the extended networking portion of the event, students will connect with several sustainable businesses, industry leaders, and professionals. This is an amazing opportunity to discuss potential employment/internship opportunities - don’t miss out!
Breakfast will be served before the panel discussion. Additionally, we’d like to give a special thank you to Applied Materials for being a Green Sponsor of Sustainability at Work!
See you there, Warriors!đź’š
