Vidlings & Tapeheads Film Festival (Detroit) is partnering with Seraphine Collective to bring music creators together with filmmakers for a digital mixtape event. Featured artists are invited to attend the Mixtape Mixer on Saturday, August 20th to connect with filmmakers as tracks are played live along with information about the artist. A Mixtape Mixer playlist will also be shared with festival attendees. Use the QR CODE to submit songs no later than August 14, 2022.

Hello Seraphine Collective Friends!
It's been a tough few years. We've been taking time to heal and are now really getting back into fostering collective love and joy. With that, we are happy to announce that we are again helping to coordinate music for this year's Vidlings & Tapeheads Film Festival! NEW BEATMATCH BRUNCH APPLICATIONS ARE LIVE YA'LL!!!! We are so excited for this next chapter of Beatmatch History and can't wait to meet ya'll.
This fall 4 amazing alumni of Mother Cyborg's Beatmatch Brunch 101 class will teach 12 womxn and non-binary identified humans the basics of DJing. We will start with the fundamentals: handling vinyl, understanding and identifying beats per minute, reading audio waves, and beat matching.
The class will meet 4 Sundays from September 1st – September 22nd 12-3:30 PM at a very cool and mysterious Detroit location that will be revealed after the applicant selection process.
We are looking for a group of people who are super excited about music (and brunch) and able to commit to attending ALL of the sessions.
There are a total of 12 slots available due to limited equipment. Applications are due by August 21, 2019. To help with class costs we are asking participants to donate $40-$80. We can work with what you have and trades are open to bartering if you are unable to pay. Complete google form below:
