Posted • Recent funding from the state and the creation of our new hospital-based doula program - the first of its kind in the country - is successfully expanding access to doulas for women of color.

“We have the highest maternal and infant mortality rates, 2 - 3x higher,” explained our maternal infant health equity director Dr. D’Angela Pitts (). “Having a doula — someone who looks like you that can advocate for you when you’re not being heard — can decrease those adverse outcomes.” Learn more about our lifesaving doula services at the link in our bio.
