THIS JUST IN //

Updated School Closure: Classes Resume Thursday, October 15

Although we previously announced a return tomorrow, Destin High School will follow the updated OCSD closure schedule and remain closed Wednesday, October 14. **Classes are now expected to resume Thursday, October 15.**

This replaces our earlier reopening announcement.

Many families and staff members continue to face power and water outages, property damage, and transportation challenges following Hurricane Isaias. This additional day will provide more time for recovery and preparation for a safe return to school.

Families needing assistance during recovery are encouraged to contact us at [email protected]. Please let us know how we can help.

Tonight’s district volleyball game against Rocky Bayou Christian School will proceed as scheduled at 5 PM at Destin Methodist Church. Come out and support our Sharks!

Any additional updates regarding extracurricular activities, athletics, and events will be communicated directly to affected families.

Hurricane-related absences and tardies will be excused when classes resume. If your student will be absent, please notify [email protected].

Thank you for your patience and flexibility. Please continue to take care of yourselves and your families. We look forward to welcoming our Sharks back on Thursday.
