Congratulations to our Cadet graduates Karma Herrera and Brelle Herrera for receiving a scholarship from the DHS Desert Hot Springs Women's Club! Way to represent The City of Desert Hot Springs , Desert Hot Springs High School, and PSA! We continue to wish you all the best as you work toward your careers in the medical field!

Today, we celebrate the birth of our nation and the freedoms that unite us as Americans. As you gather with family and friends, enjoy the festivities, and watch the fireworks, we encourage everyone to celebrate responsibly and help keep our community safe.

Our officers will be on patrol throughout the holiday weekend, working to ensure everyone can enjoy a safe and memorable Independence Day.

Honoring freedom for all today - Happy Juneteenth!

Today, the Desert Hot Springs Police Department joins our community in recognizing Juneteenth.

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when news of emancipation reached the last enslaved Americans in Galveston, Texas—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

As we reflect on this important day in our nation’s history, we honor those who fought for freedom, acknowledge the challenges of the past, and reaffirm our commitment to serving every member of our community with dignity, respect, and fairness.

Together, we celebrate the strength found in diversity and the shared values that unite us.
