When administrators step out of the office and join forces with their students, something powerful happens. ❤️

Building relationships, having fun, and creating positive connections are all part of SEL in action! Our students need to see that their school leaders are right there with them, laughing, connecting, and being part of the Scorpion Nation experience.

📲 NEW AT DSMS: APPTEGY ATTENDANCE PRO! 🦂

Starting next Monday,August 24th, DSMS families will receive an Apptegy text message when their scholar is marked absent from school. 📱

This is a quick and easy way to help families stay informed about their scholar’s attendance and know when an absence has been recorded.

🫱🏽‍🫲🏾We’re all on the same team! When families receive an absence notification, it helps us work together to understand the reason for the absence, address any concerns, and support our scholars in getting to school each day. ❤️

📲 NUEVO EN DSMS: ¡ALERTAS DE ASISTENCIA DE APPTEGY! 🦂

A partir del próximo lunes, 24 de Agosto, las familias de DSMS recibirán un mensaje de texto de Apptegy cuando su estudiante sea marcado como ausente de la escuela. 📱

Esta es una manera rápida y sencilla de ayudar a las familias a mantenerse informadas sobre la asistencia de su estudiante y saber cuándo se ha registrado una ausencia.

🫱🏽‍🫲🏾 ¡Todos estamos en el mismo equipo! Cuando las familias reciben una notificación de ausencia, nos ayuda a trabajar juntos para entender el motivo de la ausencia, atender cualquier preocupación y apoyar a nuestros estudiantes para que asistan a la escuela todos los días. ❤️

Our amazing staff had a blast team building, connecting, laughing, and growing together as we kicked off the 2026–2027 school year! 🙌🏼✨

This year, we’re putting a BIG focus on COST + AVID strategies to strengthen student support, build college and career readiness, and make sure every Scorpion has the tools they need to thrive. 📚🎓💪🏽
