Guardian Angel is a Pre-K to 8th grade Orthodox Christian Elementary School in Des Plaines, Illinois

The mission of Guardian Angel is to educate children by integrating intellectual, physical, and spiritual learning using the teaching of the Holy Orthodox Church in a manner which will instill virtues within their souls and reveal the image of God within them.

A Special Celebration of Milestones and Memories
We congratulate our youngest learners, our preschool graduates, on completing preschool and moving on to kindergarten! They delighted us with a beautiful program that showcased all they have learned and accomplished this year.

In addition, we celebrated the faithful ministry of Father John as he prepares for retirement, giving thanks to God for his years of spiritual counsel, wisdom, leadership, sacrifice, and service to our community. We are so blessed to recognize the many dedicated teachers who have served our preschool throughout the years and to honor Father John. Their love and commitment have helped shape generations of students.

Finally, we offered a heartfelt tribute in loving memory of Christoula Maratos, remembering her life, her contributions, and the lasting impact she made on all who knew her.

It was a meaningful day filled with gratitude, celebration, and cherished memories as we honored the past, celebrated the present, and looked forward to the future.

On the evening of May 28, our Spring Play, The Little Princess, was a tremendous success!

We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to watch our talented students share their gifts and hard work on stage. Thank you to everyone who joined us to support them, and to our dedicated teachers, staff, volunteers, and families whose time, effort, and encouragement helped make this special evening possible.

It was truly a night to remember! 💛
