🎉💙 Happy 1-Year Anniversary, Mr. Trevor! 💙🎉

Help us celebrate ONE YEAR of Mr. Trevor being part of our See Me Grow and Learn family! 🥳

Trevor brings so much laughter, heart, and joy into our preschool classroom. Whether he's sharing stories, laughing alongside the children, or turning an ordinary moment into something special, he has a wonderful way of making each child feel valued, loved, and important. ❤️

Beyond his humor and fun-loving personality, Trevor is someone we can always count on. His dependability, genuine care for the children, and dedication to building meaningful relationships with both our students and their families make him such a special part of our team. He understands that being a great teacher is about so much more than teaching lessons — it's about building trust, creating connections, and making every child and family feel like they belong. 🥰

Trevor, thank you for sharing your big heart, your sense of humor, and your passion for teaching with us this past year. We are so lucky to have you on our team, and we can't wait to see all the wonderful memories and milestones still to come!

🚒🔥 Fire Safety Week at SMGL! 🔥🚒
We had a very special visit today from the Des Plaines Fire Department as part of our Fire Safety Week activities! Our Preschool friends were so excited to head outside and meet some of the amazing firefighters who help keep our community safe. ❤️

The children had the opportunity to explore a fire engine, ambulance, and ladder truck while learning about fire safety, what firefighters wear, the equipment they use, and the important work they do every day.

And of course, each classroom had a little hands-on fun of their own! 👇

❤️ Red Room explored the inside of the fire engine and got a close-up look at where firefighters work.

🧡 Orange Room got to ring the BIG fire engine bell! 🔔🚒

💛 Yellow Room helped operate a pump extinguisher filled with water and got to see how firefighters use this important equipment. 💦

There were lots of smiles, excitement, questions, and curious little learners throughout the visit! We are so grateful to the Des Plaines Fire Department for taking the time to visit SMGL, teach our children about fire safety, and give them such a memorable experience. 👩‍🚒👨‍🚒❤️

What a great way to learn about staying safe while having a whole lot of fun! 🚒🔥

Mr. Trevor fully embraced our farm theme today! Not only did he wear his farmer hat during circle time, but he also shared stories about his mom’s horses with the children.

The children got to learn all about horseshoes, why horses wear them, and even got to see and explore REAL horseshoes in different sizes.

There is something so special about learning from the real experiences of the people around us. Mr. Trevor brought a little piece of his family’s farm life into the classroom, giving the children a hands-on opportunity to connect what we are learning about the real world.

Thank you Mr. Trevor, for making our farm theme extra special today!

🍎🍏 APPLE TASTE TEST! 🍏🍎
Our Red Room friends put their taste buds to work during our apple exploration! ❤️💚💛

We sampled different colored apples and discovered that even though they’re all apples, they don’t all taste the same! Some were sweet, some were tart, some were crunchy... and our Pre-K taste testers had plenty of opinions! 😂

The official rating system? A good old-fashioned thumbs up! 👍

Taste testing is such a fun way to explore using our senses, try something new, and talk about our likes and dislikes. 🍎❤️

🔬✨ STEM Station Fun in the Studio! ✨🔬
Yesterday in our Enrichment Program, our Studio friends became builders, problem-solvers, engineers, and explorers as we rotated through three hands-on STEM stations! 🧠🧱

🧱 Giant Waffle Block Builders
Our friends worked together to build, balance, connect, and create with our giant waffle blocks. Along the way, they were exploring spatial awareness, balance, planning, problem-solving, and teamwork!

💡🌈 Light Table Explorers
At the light table, we explored our window blocks, colors, shapes, and the way light changes what we see. This station encouraged observation, color recognition, visual exploration, and early scientific thinking.

🌀⚙️ Magna-Tile Marble Maze
Our marble maze was definitely a favorite! Using baking sheets and Magna-Tiles, the children had to work together to figure out how to guide the marble through the maze. This challenged their critical thinking, hand-eye coordination, communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.

The best part? They were having SO much fun that the learning felt like play! ❤️

That’s what we love about Studio Enrichment: creating opportunities for children to explore, experiment, collaborate, and discover how things work while having a great time doing it! 🌟

-🍎🍏 Apples, apples everywhere! 🍏🍎
Our Yellow Room friends are kicking off our apple-themed week with a colorful art project! 🎨 They used red, yellow, and green tissue paper to create their very own apples.

This week, we’re excited to explore this delicious fruit through art, learning, sensory experiences, and lots of hands-on fun! 🍎 We’ll be discovering the colors, textures, tastes, and even how apples grow.

We think it’s going to be a crunchy, colorful, apple-tastic week! ❤️💛💚

📚✨ Here’s to a Bright School Year! ✨📚
Today was a BIG day at See Me Grow and Learn! 💛 We officially kicked off our new school year, and what better way to celebrate than with Picture Day! 📸

Our classrooms were filled with happy faces, new adventures, lots of learning, and of course… plenty of smiles for the camera! 😊

Here’s to a school year filled with friendships, discovery, laughter, learning, and SO many wonderful memories! 🌈✨
