Brickton Montessori School

Brickton Montessori School Brickton Montessori is an accredited private school, with Preschool, Kindergarten and 1st-8th grades. Also programs for 3-36 months.

In 1986, a group of committed parents and Montessori educators opened Brickton Montessori School as an educational alternative that presents learning as a joyful, exciting process. The school of two staff members and four children opened that summer in the basement of a local church and by August moved into a portion of a local public elementary school. Brickton expanded to five classrooms in its new location and began offering programs to children ages two through twelve years. By the spring of 1989, Brickton had outgrown its space at the public school and moved to its present location in Chicago. Following the move, the school continued to grow and opened a middle school to extend programming through the eighth grade. It now serves almost 200 students from Northwest Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.

Summer is full of discoveries—even for Brickton’s younger learners. 🌿
Whether they're pouring, sorting, sweeping, watering, or caring for their environment, our toddlers are building concentration, coordination, confidence, and independence through purposeful Montessori work.

🏗️ Progress is happening fast at Brickton's new campus! Furniture is moving in, playgrounds are taking shape, signage is going up, and the finishing touches are coming together every day. We even welcomed alumni to enjoy the outdoor spaces during last week's Alumni BBQ.
Next up: landscaping, final playground installations, and parking lot paving.

We can't wait to welcome our community home this fall. 💚🐸
