It is no coincidence that the sub-title of the Uranian classic by Witte and Lefeldt, "Rules for Planetary Pictures," is The Astrology of Tomorrow. This lecture provides an overview of the system, touching on the main aspects of Uranian astrology: a discussion of the 6 personal points; the cardinal axis and antiscia; midpoints, sensitive points and planetary pictures; the use of the 360- and 90-degree dials; the hypothetical planets and their meaning in both a personal and mundane context; forecasting the general trends for the year as well as daily transits; and, the use of the dials, midpoints and planetary pictures in synastry.
Madalyn Hillis-Dineen began her study of astrology with the Uranian system in 1979 and has taught, lectured and practiced Uranian (Symmetrical Astrology) techniques for more than 40 years; she is also a certified Astro*Carto*Graphy interpreter and is a CA NCGR-PAA. She has written for a variety of publications, StarIQ.com, and is a contributor to the Llewellyn anthology, "Astrology for Women: Roles and Relationships." Madalyn is the Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Astrolabe, Inc. An active leader in the astrological community, Madalyn is the winner of the 1995 UAC Regulus Award for Community Service, was the national Chair of NCGR and was one of the coordinators of UACs 2008 and 2012.

New Special Interest Research Groups are now active. Here's one some of our members might be interested in:
The Second Saturn Return
https://ncgrastrology.org/the-second-saturn-return/
Much is written and known about the first Saturn Return that we experience at 29 years old. However, less is known about the experience of the Second Saturn Return that takes place at age 59.
To promote more learning about the Second Saturn Return, NCGR is going to lead a Focus Group on the life cycle.
A Focus Group is a small group of individuals of a similar demographic description to share their experiences of a particular theme. It is a qualitative research project rather than a statistical one.
Under the leadership of John Marchesella, NCGR will apply this technique to the theme of the Second Saturn Return by gathering a dozen individuals who are between the ages of 60 and 65 to share the experiences of their personal development, professional lives, romantic and platonic relationships as well as with family, and social perspectives.
Astrologers will recognize that age range as post Second Saturn Return, but before the opening square of the Saturn life. We hope this will hold the focus on just that transit and not the views that come later in the maturation process.
The Focus Group will take place in a roundtable discussion, which will be transcribed into a report to share with the NCGR membership.
We hope to gather a small group of individuals of various backgrounds from across the country, and both men and women.
Identities, of course, will be held in confidence in order to assure the openness in sharing experiences in the discussion. However, we will ask participants to appear on camera to enhance the sharing too.
This will be held on Zoom for about three hours on Feb 1st.
If you are between the ages of 60 and 65, and would like to participate, please contact John Marchesella on [email protected].
