The first week of August was a Blast for the Kdg. Group. We went swimming🏊‍♀️ 2x’s with slushies-went to Doanes Park🛝-Kids Empire and visited and toured the Altoona Fire Station🚒We made and tasted homemade Lemonade 🍋 and made some crafts. Onto the Last week of Summer!☀️

1st grade’s week 10 was a blast! They explored the Children’s Museum on Monday and used their imaginations! They enjoyed a movie day at school on Wednesday, went to Triumph Park in Waukee on Thursday and went swimming twice. They also made homemade lemonade today, yummy! 😋

Had another FUN week with our KDG. group at Kids Klub. Week 9 is in the books! The FUN continues 2 more weeks of summer camp. This week we went swimming 2x-hyvee splash pad-drove to Winterset to play at the park and visit Rusty Stars Alpaca Farm- 🦙which the kids loved feeding and giving them HUGS❤️ Then we ended the week visiting the Altoona Library- the kids got prizes for reading all summer and got to pick out a free book📚

First grade gave this week two thumbs up! They did some fun science experiments, went swimming, played at Doanes Park and Winterset Park, and visited Rusty Stars Alpaca Farm! They loved petting and feeding the alpacas! 🦙

What a Fun and busy week we had at KDG Altoona Campus Kids Klub! We went to McDonald’s for lunch- Grimes waterworks splash-swam at the indoor campus pool and the aquatic pool. Made kindness rocks and hid them around the school. We went bowling and arcade in pleasant hill and walked over to over the top ice cream! 🍦We worked on practicing some letters and we talked about ways we can be kind and show kindness to others ❤️

First grade had a blast this week! They went swimming, played at Mitchellville Park, went tubing at Sleepy Hollow, played at Thomas Mitchell Park, and got a cool treat today at Dairy Queen! We also said goodbye to Miss Emmy, whose last day was today 😞, so it was only fair to cover her in ice cream 😆. We’ll miss her! Thank you to everyone who donated to our food drive!

Week 7 was a success! Full of Fun for the Kdg. Group. The kids went to Prarie Vista to visit the residents, went to the movies, went swimming 2x and had slushies, toured the Capitol and made some fun crafts.
