Dear Brothers,
My name is Cole Ferrao, and I’m a sophomore in SigEp currently serving as our first Alumni Relations Chair.

We’re excited to invite you to the Inaugural Sigma Phi Epsilon – Iowa Delta Alumni Dinner, taking place on the evening of Friday, November 21st on Drake University’s campus.

This special event is an opportunity for alumni from across the years to reconnect, reminisce, and celebrate the brotherhood that makes Iowa Delta so meaningful. Whether you graduated recently or several years ago, we hope you’ll join us for an evening of shared stories, great conversations, and SigEp pride.

Additionally, I recently sent out an email to many of you, but we’re still missing contact information for quite a few brothers, especially those who graduated before 2017. Even if you’re unable to attend this event, if you did not receive my email, please send me a private message with your email address and phone number so I can add you to our alumni contact sheet. This will help us stay connected and ensure you’re included in future alumni updates and events.

Join a group You've been invited to join a group and play ESPN's Men's Tournament Challenge

Congrats to the chapter for a successful trip to Carlson Leadership Academy in Chicago.

The chapter won the Benjamin Hobson-Frayser Award for Connection through Communication. The award recognizes chapters/AVCs that foster a strong connection with their undergraduate brothers, alumni, parents and the university community through effective communication, including through newsletters, social media and their chapter site.

Congrats Brothers!

It is with a profound sense of sadness that we share the news that Brother John Mertz passed away late last week. John, who was 95, was one of the remaining members of our original local fraternity, Chi Delta, which joined with Sigma Phi Epsilon nationally in 1948. He leaves behind a legacy of goodwill and service to our chapter and the Drake community, with over 70 years as a volunteer for the alumni board and the university.

John's spirit will stay with us all; he was caring, kind, conscientious, and always looking for the best in all of us.

Please join us in extending our deepest condolences to John's family. His service made us a better chapter - and better people. Thank you John, for everything.
