Hoyt Middle School PTO is an all volunteer run non-profit parent teacher organization whose mission is to promote a positive school experience for the students of Hoyt Middle School in Des Moines. To open communication and understanding between parents and staff. Encourage an attitude of support, pride, enthusiasm, and community. Foster a positive school environment that enhances our children's educational experience and influences our children's future success in a positive way.
Our purpose is to :
-Promote parent/teacher cooperation in the overall education of our children
-Conduct fundraising activities
-Provide parents/guardians an opportunity to be involved
-Host activities/events that encourage student and family involvement
-Encourage community support
-Show appreciation to the educational staff who influence our children’s future.
-Strengthen the line of communication between home and school
-Provide a non-biased forum for sharing information on issues impacting our children
-Be informed of local district objectives, school priorities & policies and serve as a parent connection
We have a wonderful group of parents and teachers at Hoyt who are dedicated to enhancing the education of every child, while aiding them in achieving their highest potential. A strong PTO ensures a better school environment for our children and strengthens the bond between home and school while fostering a healthy relationship with HMS staff.
Parent involvement is a fundamental part of what makes a school community thrive. We encourage you to learn more about our PTO and get involved in any way that works for you! Membership is open to any parent/guardian, family member, teachers, interested citizens of Des Moines, Hoyt alumni or other persons who wish to become involved in enhancing the educational experience for our students at Hoyt Middle school.
