We had a great time hosting our first annual contest at the Southeast Polk Tech Expo this year! It was an awesome opportunity to connect with students, meet with vendors, and network with other contractors and industry professionals.

Southeast Polk continues to put on an outstanding Tech Expo, showcasing the value of skilled trades and hands-on careers. One thing that really stood out was the number of students who are genuinely interested in learning a trade and building a future in the industry.

There’s a lot of talent coming up, and it’s exciting to see young people eager to work, learn, and get involved. We’re grateful to have been part of the event and are already looking forward to next year!

Two new apprentices have officially been accepted into out apprenticeship program! This is a big step , and couldn't be more excited to have them on board! Congrats Aidan and Josh!!!!

We had our Apprentice Appreciation Party last Friday at Topgolf from 6–8 PM, and it was a good chance to get everyone together outside of work for a bit.

It’s always good to step back and recognize the effort it takes to get through the apprenticeship program. Showing up, staying consistent, and continuing to learn doesn’t go unnoticed.

Local 45 appreciates everyone who’s putting in the work and moving through the program. It was a solid night with a good group of people. These apprentices represent themselves well both on and off the jobsite, and it shows in the way they carry themselves, support each other, and continue building their skills. They reflect Local 45 in a professional manner, and it’s clear they take pride in being part of the program and where they’re headed in the trade.
