Crew |'Krü| - A group of Drake students of color who stand together to support each other's success, academic excellence, and leadership growth (while earning extra funds for college). Crew Scholar Anthony Pawnell at Drake’s 2014 Convocation
Don’t go it alone at Drake—consider joining the Crew Scholars Program. It’s a group of students who want to achieve great things at Drake, to support each oth
er's success as students of color, and are passionate about effecting change in the community. The Crew Scholars Program offers a community in which you’ll build lifelong friendships, attend exciting events, and get involved in every aspect of campus life, all while cultivating academic and leadership skills and nurturing your passion for making a difference. Plus, the Crew Scholars Program makes a Drake education more financially feasible: Crew Scholars enrolled full-time in on-campus courses for the fall and/or spring semesters, receive Drake scholarships and grants totaling at least 50 percent of tuition. (Calculation of the 50 percent tuition support includes Drake scholarships and grants awarded separately from one's selection as a Crew Scholar with the exception of the need-based Drake Grant. In addition, NCAA and conference guidelines may require adjustments to any scholarship or grant--including a Crew Scholarship--if athletic scholarships are offered.)
