Join us for the Hillis Carnival tomorrow from 12:30 - 2:15.

We will be selling yearbooks tomorrow at the Hillis Carnival. They are $17.00 each, Cash only.

Hillis Spring Carnival - All Families Are Welcome
June 3rd from 12:30 pm to 2:15 pm

This will be a Carnival to Remember.

Thank you to the generous sponsor of Hillis PTO and One Run Funds we will have the following activities and more:
Inflatable obstacle course
Spin Art
Dunk tank
Snow Cones

Start Times by Grade Level:
Kindergarten & 6th Grade: 12:30 PM
1st Grade: 12:45 PM
Grades 2, 3, 4, & 5: 1:00 PM
Important Information for Parents (Check-In & Check-Out):
Entrance & Exit:
There is one entrance and exit for the carnival.
Families will enter at the southwest corner of the playground (Hickman & 56th gate).
If you are checking your student out early:
Find your student’s teacher (look for the grade-level signs).
The teacher will record that you are checking out your student.
Exit at the same gate where you entered, with a Hillis staff member present.

Yearbooks have arrived!!

Pre-ordered yearbooks will be given to teachers on 5/27.

We will be selling yearbooks after school from 2:30-3:00 on 5/27(tomorrow) and 5/28(Thursday) in the pick-up area.
We will also be selling them at the School Carnival and the morning of the last day of school as long as there are some left.
Each book is $17.00 cash only. No big bills please.
Yearbooks will be available on a first come first serve basis until they are gone.

It's Teacher Appreciation Week!!

Because it's Teacher Appreciation Week we will be bringing the Woot Woot Cart through the halls this Friday to provide special treats to teachers!!
Hillis families can show their appreciation by donating items. Treats will be collected in the main office.

Dear Friends and Community Members,

We are excited to announce that Hillis Elementary will be hosting a Career Fair on Friday, May 1st, and we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make it a memorable experience for our students! This is a wonderful opportunity to inspire the next generation by sharing your career journey, your industry, and your passion for your work. With your help, students will have the chance to explore a widevariety of career clusters, including:

Health Science – Nurses, doctors, therapists, and pharmacists
Architecture & Construction – Engineers, builders, and electricians, plumber
Information Technology – Programmers, cybersecurity experts, and web designers
Arts, A/V & Communications – Graphic designers, journalists, and photographers
Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources – Farmers, veterinarians, and environmental scientists
Law, Public Safety & Government – Police officers, lawyers, and firefighters
Business Management & Finance – Accountants, entrepreneurs, and marketing professionals
Education & Training – Teachers, counselors, and coaches
Hospitality- Restaurant owner, Chef/Cook, Hotel
Direct Service - Hair dresser, caregivers,
Manufacturing - Welding, Building, Truck Driver,

No formal presentation is required — just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to answer questions from curious young minds! If you would like to bring interactive games or videos, please feel free to do so!

If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out this form to sign up ​HERE​​​ by April 24th at 4:00 PM.

All volunteers will be provided with a 6 foot table and 2 chairs. We serve grades K-6th and have about 315 students. More detailed information on parking and setting up will be sent out the Tuesday, April 28th. If you would like more information, please contact me at [email protected].
