I have nets hanging on my dream board at the crib. Cutting the net is a celebration of gratitude of the accomplishments and milestones reached. The net itself is cool to have as a memory of all the time, effort, and sacrifice we have all given to get where we wanted to be. Some ask questions as to why we do what we do. We celebrate wins, small and big. At least for 24 hours. And then it’s right back to the grind. The energy you carry while you’re moving towards your goals is the same energy you will have when you attain that goal. Be mindful of that and decide how you want to feel when you get there. And then feel it, imagine it, dream of it. And then put the work in. Cause it’s yours. And what’s for you no one can take away. Only you. Alliance South Conference Champions.

I’m proud of our boys, our staff, and thank you to our fans who made the long trip and listened on the radio. Our program took a major leap this year. We battled with the number #3 team in the state on their court. We just getting started.

Mood: Ready. 🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀🏀 We are at Sioux City East tonight. 7pm for the 2nd round of districts. We have had some great workouts this week, the prep work is done… now it’s time to go play the game and have some fun.

Got our first district win as a program( with new staff as of 3 years ago) 80-55 against Sioux City North. I’m proud of how our guys work and compete. They play with so much passion. It’s a joy. We aren’t done. @ Sioux City East on Friday. They will be a tough opponent.

Mood: Prepared. 1st district game tonight. We are hosting Sioux City North @ the crib. See you at 7pm. Pack the jawn!

Amos Poe takes leadership to a new level with Des Moines North basketball Amos Poe struggled to pick up an offer to play college basketball. He has one now, and the Des Moines North senior is thankful for every opportunity.
