The smiles said it all at McKinley last Friday ! 💛❤️ Former Railsplitters walked the halls once again, and the pride was impossible to miss. From hugs with former teachers to high-fives with future Southside students, this new tradition is quickly becoming one of our favorites.

We love celebrating our Southside family and reminding every feeder school that once a Railsplitter, always a Railsplitter! 🚂✨

🩸❤️ LINCOLN LEADERS ARE SAVING LIVES ❤️🩸

Our Lincoln Leaders’ American Red Cross Blood Drives made a HUGE impact this year — raising more donations than ANY other high school in the state of Iowa! 👏🔥

Because of the generosity of our students, staff, and community, we helped save nearly 400 lives through blood donations. That’s 400 families, friends, and patients impacted by the power of giving. ❤️

And to top it all off… one lucky Lincoln senior, Jesus Cante, was awarded a $1,500 scholarship from the American Red Cross simply for donating blood! 🎓💰

We are incredibly proud of everyone who donated, volunteered, and supported this life-saving event. This is what leadership and community look like!

Today, our seniors walked the halls where their Southside story first began. ❤️💛

All 10 Southside elementary schools opened their doors to welcome back the Class of 2026 for a special Senior Clap Out. From high fives in the hallways to hugs from former teachers and principals, our seniors got the chance to relive the memories that started it all.

Some stayed to talk with current 5th graders about the exciting — and sometimes scary — transition into middle school. Others reunited with the educators who first believed in them, encouraged them, and helped shape who they are today. But every single senior got to experience something unforgettable: one more walk through the halls of their youth.

It was a day filled with laughter, nostalgia, reflection, and pride for how far these students have come. The little kids who once sat in those classrooms are now graduating and preparing for the next chapter of their lives.

Congratulations, Class of 2026. The Southside is proud of you, and your story will always begin here. 🎓✨

⚽️❤️ Congratulations to the very first Girls Soccer Team at Lincoln! ❤️⚽️

Spring 1996 marked the beginning of Lady Rails Soccer as the very first team took the pitch and started a legacy that continues 30 years later. For Senior Night, several members of that inaugural team returned to support our current Lady Rails and celebrate three decades of pride, passion, and tradition on the field.

The Southside loved having you back, Ladies! Thank you for paving the way for generations of Lincoln soccer players and for continuing to inspire the next wave of Lady Rails.

30 Years Strong. One Rails Family. 🚂⚽️

¡Vamos Rails!

So very proud of our amazing Railsplitters! And so very fortunate to have Dr. Skylar Mayberry-Mayes in our corner, supporting the Southside and our tremendous students!

Congratulations to the 90+ Abraham Lincoln High School Railsplitters who received scholarships, at the annual ALHS Alumni Foundation Hall of Fame and Scholarship Award Ceremony.

Proud to celebrate such an outstanding group of students and their bright futures ahead.
