Highline College WISH Program provides an innovative housing solution in partnership with King County Housing Authority. Thanks to the The Seattle Times for reporting on the impact.

Since 2020, Highline College has paired students facing homelessness with housing vouchers provided by the King County Housing Authority. It seems to be working.

Save the date!

The creative team behind “The Shadow Girls” podcast, Carolyn Ossorio and Branden Morgan, will discuss their ongoing mission to share stories of “imperfect witnesses.” One of the stories you will hear is of the only woman to survive the Green River Killer, who came forward with a tip that would ultimately lead to the GRK’s capture.

You will hear from noted criminal attorney Anne Bremner along with King County Sheriff (ret), Dave Reichert and King County Detective Tom Jensen who will discuss investigations and how the systemic neglect and dismissal of survivors has incalculable effects on victims, their families and society.

This new series honors Dr. Ed Command, Highline President from 1990-2000, and his vision to connect the community to Highline College.

A big Oorah (Hoo-Rah) to the United States Marine Corps Support Group for visiting with Highline students who are current and former Marines to present the Kevin Gunderson USMC Support Grant and to share stories.
