Today my students played an April Fools Day joke on me by all of them coming in late (I knew, though, because I heard them talking yesterday). So when they finally came in I had written on the board “Exciting News!!” I didn’t get to it right away and waited until we did our opener. I glanced at the board and made a speech about how excited I was because someone was sponsoring all 4+ programs at Dave and Busters—we’d get 2 free hours of game time and free lunch!!! They were so excited, until I yelled “April Fools!” 😂
After min h I came into the classroom and found some of the students T-P’d me!! 😂

Ty got a job at Mercy FULL TIME working in Sterike Processing!! Way to go, Ty!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Ty is working in Surgery inventory Control and doing an excellent job!!

We had students outside the cafeteria last week helping to promote our program! Great job!! 👏🏼

Jasmine is working in the NICU, which she loves!! She’s doing wonderful job!!

Matthew (Chewy) is working in cold food prep! He says he’s learning a lot and he’s doing a good job!!

We have started second internships! After shadowing his predecessor, Ty, Jack is flying solo in SPD and doing an excellent job!!

We had an end of 2025 potluck before winter break and it was a smashing success! Everyone brought something to share and learned about food day etiquette on the job!
