Dolly Parton turned her own hard-won education into a lifeline for millions of children through the Imagination Library, proving that one person who remembers where they came from can change what's possible for kids who haven't gotten there yet. I saw her live once, she held that entire arena in the palm of her hand and it was a great experience. As an educator, I've watched her books show up in the hands of kids who needed exactly that spark. She taught as much through her giving and her grace as she ever did through her songs. Thank you Dolly Parton for spreading joy across our country with your music and generosity.

Wrapped up my evening with members of the WEA- Waterloo Schools Education Association, Cedar Falls Education Association, the Cedar Falls Education Support Professional Association and ISEA Retired members at the Blackhawk County stop of the Lindsay James 22 county tour.
